Several recent unfortunate events (including a grotesque murder that happened in the small town where I took my highschool classes) reminded me of one of my main motto’s. Memento Mori.
What I’m going to say here is not new, is not even…surprising… Yet so many people seem to forget this very simple fact: we are all going to die. We do not know when. We do not know how. But we are all, with the highest of certainties, going to die. So…
- Why do we only rebel against crimes, when it’s all too late for some? Why don’t we always fight for what we love, for what we believe in, why don’t we ALWAYS live according to our principles and values?
- Why do we show our love (mostly) after people are gone? Why don’t we treat them gently, with care, affection and respect…right now? Daily? We never know when will be the last time we see our dear ones!
- Why do we live like there is an infinite amount of time at our disposal and we think we can afford to lose days, weeks, months, years? Guess what… WE DON’T.
Start living the way you want to live today! Go tell the people you cherish that they are important to you today! Start making new, beautiful memories with them today!
